I love a good podcast! I have been obsessing over Jenna Kutcher’s Goal Digger series. She tackles everything from motherhood, marketing and self-empowerment topics, including tips and hacks she’s mastered along the way to developing a multi-million dollar empire.
She is the perfect balance between relatable and educational.
One of my favorite episodes was with Gretchen Rubin, the author of “The Happiness Project.” Gretchen made a comment that was a true “aha” moment for me…….
I really needed to hear this! A great reminder that we are not at the mercy of our feelings, and that we have the power to direct our emotional state. By acting as if you feel a certain way, you can induce that emotion in yourself.
Counteract an unpleasant feeling by behaving the way you wish you felt…. I know it’s not easy to do….but I’ve been trying it lately and when I can actually laugh or crack a joke instead of yelling at my kids when I’m angry, it just makes for a better day.
