It’s hard to believe we are only a week away from Thanksgiving and 5 weeks away from Christmas! What are ways you like to keep zen over the crazy holiday season?
I have a habit of “rewarding” myself with food or shopping – who else is with me? In the long run, these things have made me (and my wallet!) feel worse!
Setting goals is important. Having a reward system in place keeps me accountable and driven……BUT…..I’m now making an effort to move toward healthier self-care and here’s how you can to!
Three new things I’m rewarding myself with lately:
Exercise…..I have worked hard on shifting this into the “reward” catagory and not the “punishment” one because those endorphins feel good – and I’m motivated by that!
Evening bath with epsom salts. I light a candle, turn on my spotify and pretend I’m at a spa (sometimes a glass of wine is necessary to!!)
Reading old magazines……I have an endless stack by my bed. I allow myself an hour or two here or there as a fun reward if I have a productive day
