Protein shakes are a staple in my diet. They taste like an indulgent snack – like I’m drinking a milkshake! You can use any protein powder you like but these are the ones I prefer below. Click on any pic to shop.
THE KEY TO A YUMMY SMOOTHIE
Great kitchen tools! I swear by my Vitamix blender. I know, I know…it’s expensive. I swear it’s worth it y’all! The texture you get from the Vitamix is the same as if you paid $12 for it at the smoothie shop!
These smoothies don’t suck y’all! Great flavors, very filling and super healthy.
Vanilla Pistachio Smoothie
1 scoop vanilla protein
1 cup unsweet organic almond milk
1/4 cup pistachios
1/2 frozen banana
Topping: crushed pistachios
The frozen banana makes the smoothy so creamy! Bananas have a lot of sugar so I only add 1/2 to each one.
Almond Butter Cookie Smoothie
1 scoop vanilla protein powder
1 spoon organic almond butter
1 cup unsweet organic almond or coconut milk
dash of salt
dash of cinnamon
1/2 frozen banana
Topping: sprinkle of cinnamon
Chocolate Lovers Smoothie
1 scoop vanilla protein powder
1 cup frozen avocado
1 tbsp cacao powder
dash of salt
1 cup unsweet organic almond or coconut milk
Topping: cacao nibs
Very Berry Smoothie
1 scoop vanilla protein powder
1 cup frozen berries
1 cup unsweet organic almond or coconut milk
1 big ole handful of frozen spinach
Topping: Bee Pollen
I love adding bee pollen to smoothies its my new favorite super food: helps with inflammation, reduces stress, great antioxidant and detoxes the liver.
Peanut Butter and Jelly Smoothie
1 tablespoon organic peanut butter
½ cup unsweet organic almond milk
1 cup frozen blueberries
1 scoop of Vital Collagen protein powder
½ frozen banana
I love sipping these refreshing smoothies after my workouts. So simple to make – no fancy ingredients and super healthy too.
